Who left the spade outside?

Ceramic Spade with oak plinth, 105cm – SOLD

I enjoy celebrating the humble spade. Here it is again, this time with a delicate lace pattern in the surface. The quintessential gardener’s tool, mine spends most of the year outside ready for action.

Life-size and frost-hardy, this spade reaches 105cm. It can be mounted in any of a few ways: secure it upright with part of the blade in the soil; hang it by a hook on a wall; or here it is shown with an oak plinth for free-standing or indoors.

Many of the works shown here have been sold. But I can always make one specially for you.
